I have been noticing a different parrot call recently in my backyard area,
one that I am familiar with. Yes, it is the Rainbow Lorikeet !
I have now seen it on numerous occasions. There is only one though, which is
strange. It seems to like sitting in wattle varieties and the large gum
trees in the house behind me. It doesn't really seem to have escaped from
captivity, though I would not really know how to tell.
I have taken a photo of it (though it's not the best, you can still see it)

Has anybody else seen any Rainbow Lorikeet's in Canberra this recently this
year ?
