Just (20.30 h) been rushing out to the front of our house in Ainslie, a Koel calling close by. Only it turned out to be a Pied Currawong giving a pretty good imitation of the Ko-el call.We have a group of 10 or so Currawongs roosting in the oaks around our house, but the Koel-imitator must be a new comer to the party, probably from one of the suburbs blessed/infested with a Koel.
