My advice is that they don't charge for parking on total fire ban days and cover the ticket machines accordingly. They may have been a bit tardy in doing it this morning.

Regards,
Leo.

I’m informed by the Lord High Parking Poobah that because the range of access is restricted, patrons would automatically limit their sojourn commensurate with that range, and hence the lesser time required for parking would automatically return a lower parking fee.  Local government is all wise and ever considerate.

I presume that this reduction of service will be matched by an equivalent decrease in the fee for parking?

Hi all

Went for an early am wander in the Botanic Gardens, hoping to find a drongo, which I didn't. My wanderings were cut short when I was firmly though amiably ejected by a staff member, who told me that as of yesterday most of the gardens will be closed on days of total fire ban. The info centre and bottom part of the gardens will still be open, but not anywhere else. I must have got there before the closed signs were put up.

Couldn't find any sign of a drongo during my brief search, but did see a Peaceful Dove in a tree near the research lab north of the rainforest gully. A Koel was calling from somewhere on the other side of Clunies Ross St.

cheers

Steve
