I have also noticed unusual feeding behaviour for this time of year with about 100 galahs digging for bulbs/tubers along Parkes way this morning, and white cockatoos eating pine cones. This seems like winter or late summer feeding behaviour, not normal for this time of year.

For feeding I suggest planting bird-friendly plants rather than putting out supplementary seeds, bread or nectar because supplementary foods are usually nutritionally unbalanced and what happens when you go away on a holiday.
