G’day Steve,

I have passed your record on to David Drynan at the banding office here in Canberra. Hopefully he will get back to you with the banding details.

For the chat line members – anything to do with banded birds, including colour markings, you can talk to any of the local banding crew (members are myself, Richard Allen, Anthony Overs, Paul Mahoney, Sue Newbery and Harvey Perkins amongst others), or you can forward the details to . Please be as detailed as possible with colour markings, ie which leg / wing and how the combination is configured as well as date and as accurate as possible, the locality recorded. Every little bit helps to build up a picture of what our birds are doing.

Thanks,

Mark

One at a birdbath in our Ainslie backyard yesterday evening. I think the combination was left leg purple over metal, right leg blue over red.

Hopefully of use to somebody out there, if anyone knows who is doing the study perhaps they could pass it on.

cheers

Steve
