and if anyone is interested, the ACT public library system
has just acquired a copy of 'To see every bird on earth' which is a good read -
written by the son of one of the top US birders, about his father's birdwatching
- quite a bit too in there about Phoebe Snetsinger, who despite battling (and
eventually succumbing to) cancer, notched up the record for number of species
seen (over 8,500).
