The Friends of the Australian National
Botanic Gardens have regular talks on a Thursday lunchtime [12:30 - 1:30].
They are held in the Theatrette opposite the Visitors' Information
Centre.
Next Thursday 23/11, Wendy Rainbird will be
talking about a proposed National Sustainability project adjoining the
Jerrabomberra Wetlands. [Don't forget the launch of the Jerrabomberra Wetlands
draft management plan on Tuesday 28 November at the Wetlands at
11:00am]
The following Thursday at the ANBG, Bill
Handke will talk on controlling Indian Mynas.
The Australian Academy of Science is
holding a series of talks on Australia's contribution to evolution. On
Tuesday 5 December at 6pm in the Shine Dome, Andrew Cockburn will be
talking on 'The Evolution of mating rituals in Australian
Birds'.
