With no further COG talks scheduled for the rest of this year, some of you may be interested in the following:

The Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens have regular talks on a Thursday lunchtime [12:30 - 1:30].  They are held in the Theatrette opposite the Visitors' Information Centre.

Next Thursday 23/11, Wendy Rainbird will be talking about a proposed National Sustainability project adjoining the Jerrabomberra Wetlands. [Don't forget the launch of the Jerrabomberra Wetlands draft management plan on Tuesday 28 November at the Wetlands at 11:00am]

The following Thursday at the ANBG, Bill Handke will talk on controlling Indian Mynas.

The Australian Academy of Science is holding a series of talks on Australia's contribution to evolution.  On Tuesday 5 December at 6pm in the Shine Dome, Andrew Cockburn will be talking on 'The Evolution of mating rituals in Australian Birds'.
