Yes Richard, that was something of a mystery.  A blow-up from another shot doesn’t resolve it.  However a separate video frame shows a shoveler in that position, and I think that’s what it was.  The general colouration is right, and the pale face-crescent is there.  Unlikely though it might seem I think the ‘eye-ring’ is the pale iris magnified by blur and the strong light.  Another trompe de camera.
