Went to A lot of birds, particularly noisy friarbirds with
more than 20, probably a lot more as most common bird. At one stage I had 5 male
white winged trillers within range. And I think there were easily double that
number. 2 olive backed orioles, 2 sacred kingfishers near the car park, 4 white
throated gerygones and 1 western G. a pair of mistletoe birds. 2 dollarbirds
near horse stile, 1 pallid cuckoo heard in distance. 3 birds of prey: 1 wedgie, 1 peregrine (although a
sillouette I am pretty sure by behaviour), and one unidentified, large, flying
low, dark, wings held up, strait edged tail, possible black or brown falcon or
kite, but only a quick glimpse. Would be curious if other people saw.
1 dusky woodswallow. Other usuals including magpie
larks and willie wagtails with chicks in nest, rufous whistlers, at least 4
common bronzewings. Also most of the yellowbox were in flower. Other
flowers included the odd scaley buttons, new holland daisies (Vittadinia mueleri
and 1 cuneata). Benj ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT - This message has been issued by The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).
