Hello All,
My three hapence worth,I once had regular visitors every year a
pair of Boobocks bred once for a while five young.....I considered getting
some pals and in one exercise of an evening seeing just how many Boobocks
were on Majura...Heady days!...last year I heard the odd one never
two...they have gone with the passerines, the cuckoes and half a dozen
others...I think more victims to El Nino,Global warming However you chose to
see it....We have to face it,when the 'umble House Sparrow becomes a
relative rarity we are in deep trouble...perhaps we are witnessing the
dessication of a continent...the scenes of almost indecent prosperity all
around, could be compared to a light globe that flares before it dies...so
cherish your memories perhaps the future belongs to the Currawongs and
Indian Mynahs.....Terry Gourlay.
