Subject: Turquoise Parrot at Jerra Wetlands
Alastair Smith and I found a female Turquoise Parrot at Jerrabomberra
Wetlands this afternoon. Also seen later by Peter Milburn and Michael
Wright. I got a number of photos - none of them very good (one day I'll get
a good camera!), but three of the better ones attached. It was in the scrub
on the hill on left hand side of the path just after the bridge. It spent
some time feeding in the grass adjacent to the main path.
Other species at Kellys included Glossy Ibis, Whiskered Tern, Sharp-tailed
Sandpiper, Buff-banded Rail, Aust Spotted Crake, Spotless Crake.
Regards
Frank
