A weekend visit to Fivebough Swamp,
Leeton and the hundreds of Glossy Ibis reported to this line last
week are still present, along with many hundreds of Black-winged Stilt,
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper and Grey Teal. Also about 40
Australian Shelduck, many Whiskered Tern and Australian
Reed-Warbler, a few White-fronted Chat and Zebra Finch,
as well as Black Kite and Whistling Kite.
Also seen were Blue-billed Duck,
Baillon's Crake, Australian Spotted Crake, Swamp Harrier,
Black-tailed Native-hen, Red-necked Avocet and Red-capped Plover.
In all, 60 species observed over the two days.**********************************************************************
