Early yesterday morning, while hanging out the laundry, I heard a
White-throated Gerygone calling in front of the house. I dashed out
into the street and proceeded to mimic its song. Immediately, it
flew into a large E mannifera above my head. This is the first time
that I have recorded this species here in over 15 years of residency.
It moved rapidly northward until I could not follow any further.
Amazingly, the contents of the laundry basket were now on the
line........
