Yesterday also fleeting glimpses of 2 Spotless, Crake Alley, ESBs nest-building in casuarinas nearby, being given hard time by New Hollands

Yesterday evening a Baillon's Crake right below Cygnus hide foraging along the muddy water's edge. Best views I have ever had of this species. Then 5 minutes later at 'Crake Alley' a brief 2 second glimpse of a Buff-banded Rail before it retreated into the reeds.
