I visited Perth on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd Sept
Where I was staying near Armadale (southern perth) there were white tailed
black cockatoos (not sure which ones) and a pair of red capped parrots as well
as plenty of 28s. We visited serpentine falls and it was packed with people so
saw few birds, but lots of flowers, particularly acacias. On the way back we
stopped at a café, and I heard an interesting call, so dashed out and spotted 3
more red capped parrots. A whole flock of corellas were nearby but couldn't ID
as they were on private property.
.
In March I travelled around the SW looking for red capped parrots in remnant
forest and banksia woodland, and it turns out they were just outside the back
door in Perth. Typical
