Have found Allocasuarinas with areas of bark chewed off and birds coming to take the sap. From what I have seen I think I know who did that. But I also want to exclude other possibilities.

I am asking chat line members with knowledge of sugar glider (SG) and possum habits whether these 2 animals (espec. the gliders) actually strip bark off trees in order to get at sap? For the SG it is known that they take eucalypt and Acacia sap. Casuarinas are not mentioned.

Could I ask any one with relevant knowledge to answer me privately please.

Many thanks in advance,

Michael Lenz.

Many thanks
