Scarlet Robin in Deakin

A female Scarlet Robin was foraging in my street in Deakin yesterday (Monday) with a lot of wing spreading and quivering as if to flush insects from the trees in which it was busy.  Had there been a male in the vicinity, I might have interpreted the behaviour as soliciting.

It is the first time for my GBS to include a SR and it does not appear to be a common event in September according to the GBS books.

Also a lone Yellow-faced Honeyeater.  Their numbers have certainly thinned with the onset of Spring.  They must be trying to get a jump on the masses reported heading west from the coast.
