Spotted a lone YFHE (Yellow-faced Honeyeater -- that's one acronym people had better get used to) skulking in the wattles on the peninsula at Lake Ginninderra today. Might be a harbinger of spring or just one that stuck around. The White-naped HEs on the western shore seem to have stuck around all winter, mixing it with the White-plumed HEs. Also a largish (c. 25) flock of martins. Couldn't tell whether they were Tree or Fairy (or both) as they were too high.
