Dear All,
This debate on the correct and proper way to use an acronym is
timely,as was the reminder that a lot of casual birdos are using and
hopefully getting a lot out of this Hotline,I have problems with acronyms,so
how are these folk faring? From henceforth I will be naming my Bird hopefully
correctly, and subsequently abbreviating.....As to Rod and his Spotted Turtle
Doves, well correcting him is a lot more fun and did distract my attention
from his question of how widespread the Spotted Turtle Dove is on the
Coast.I used regularly see a pair at Pebbly Beach going back 15 or so
years, also at Batemans Bay, haven't worried too much about them, but from now
on will make a point of checking them out,on the positive side the Point
Upright Peregrines have got too eat something ...Regards,Terry Gourlay.
