Yes and like a lot of breeding records of large
parrots, the actual nest may be far away from where the family with dy are found
and the period of dependency is long. We have had that discussion already in
regard to King Parrots. That 'most' GBS records
of DYs are from the March-July period, indicates that beyond then, few if any,
juveniles are still dependent. It makes good sense that the DY period from GBS
is that time after what HANZAB reports as their breeding time, which I expect
will relate to the time at the nest.
I will send the output from the GBS Database just
to David to look at the results.
