Hi Rod,
I have seen the Brown Quail on odd occasions in that swampy area on the Southern end of the Lake downstream from the Navigation Buoys.....they are generally in little parties and call surprisingly like their name but drawn out,the Stubble is distinctive for its got you up call,the stubble is an odd one,as a boy they were so common around Canberra,don't think I have seen one this year....I will be there on Saturday so maybe "watch this spot"....Terry Gourlay.
