Late yesterday afternoon I joined the me-toos in seeing a male Rose Robin
in aerobatic pursuit of prey about 10 metres up in the canopies of a stand
of Brittle Gums at Section 161 of the Australian National Botanic Gardens.
In the same trees, I was a little surprised - given the lateness of
the season - to see some 12 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters. They appeared to be
engaging in an agro game of chasers rather than feeding. I lost sight of them
before I could really discern if they were heading in any particular
direction.
