Gerygoneless a little before lunchtime, I had the good fortune to come
across Steve Holliday and David and Kathy Cook at my post at the drinking
fountain, Steve then being a shade blasé about BGs, having fought off 20 or so
the previous day a little further down the gully. Nonetheless he volunteered
to locate a few more, and did so before setting off on his own serious midday
business. As the little chaps put their heads in and out of the foliage, David
and I blazed away, missing a fair number but managing to wing the odd slower
one.

Subject: Botanic Gdns: 10+ BROWN GERYGONES
My lunchtime walk in the Botanic Gardens yielded a subadult male Rose
Robin in the Sydney Gully (not the same bird as reported earlier this
week which was a full adult) and 10+ BROWN GERYGONES in the
Rainforest Gully. The birds were adjacent to section 17 where the
drinking fountain is at the base of 2 large flowering E. grandis.
