As well as the firetail at Campbell Park yesterday, I was interested to see relatively large numbers of Skylarks in the adjacent grazing land. They were in very good voice and at one stage I had at least 5 in view in one small area, judging from the amount of calling there were probably a lot more than this present. Mostly they were flying and hovering low over the grass, often chasing each other. I didn't see any doing high display flights. Haven't noticed this many at CP before, maybe some sort of post-breeding gathering?
