I’ve just had a
response from James O’Connor at Birds Australia to say that his copy of
HANZAB does NOT have the error of missing legends to Plates 2 and 3. Could
anyone who has received their HANZAB have a quick check of their copy and let
me (Canberrabirds) know so we can get some idea of how prevalent this
“variable” error might be.

That error was picked up also by someone on
BirdingAus. I have also detected another error – ie no legend at all to
plates 2 or 3.

Quite right Geoffrey, good spotting. I think
part of the problem lies in the fact that there are two Plates numbered 51!
