Frances and I spent the weekend in Southern Noo Joisey and Delaware. Ospreys were a highlight - images at http://mysite.verizon.net/fran_mart/id10.html

We visited the famous Cape May hawk watching platform which features a tally board.  The biggest day ever must have been 4 October 1977 for which they showed 11,096 sharp-shinned hawks and 9,400 broad-winged hawks!

As a hint for anyone else including that area in their itinerary the ferry from Cape May to Lewes in Delaware is a good trip.  In addition to a heap of gannets, scoters and loons as we got nearly back we had excellent (<50m) views of a pair of finback whales that came to play with the ferry!
