Wednesday 25-1-06 along Ginninderra Creek where the water pipe crosses
from Latham to McGregor I saw 5 Dollar Birds with at least 3 juvenile.
I did not have my bins with me and they flew as I approached.
Also a Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike with 2 fledglings. It did a real
performance trying to lead me away from the young who were tucked up on
branch and not moving.

Yesterday 30-1-06 heard a commotion in the back yard. On investigation
there was a Currawong on the ground with a very fresh mouse in its
mouth. This is a new glimpse of hunting for me.
