The "lerp" as I understand it consists of two
parts, the small insect (usually pink), and the whitish "house" that it lives
under.
Are the Superbs content to eat the sugary cover or
do they endeavour to eat the insect too?
In contrast pardalotes seem to look under the cover
to eat the insect.
