G'day all
Paul's description What a lot frenetic family fun. Elsa reports that they appear
mainly to be in groups of two adults and three offspring.
adds strength to Benj's suggestion 'My gut
feeling is that the influx is a post breeding (nesting) dispersal in search of
food.'
There is a lot of breeding activity this season.Choughs successfully bred
this year near my house dam. As soon as the 3 young hatched and were able to fly
the family group of now 9 disappeared presumably for less worked over pastures.
