The 2 sandpipers/greenshanks? were at Kelly's at 3:30 -4:30 today. The
bills were certainly upturned and when disturbed flew off quickly with a
ringing call. They were flying and feeding between the Crake Alley (site 7 on
the COG wesite map) and the sand bar about 20metres towards the wetland centre.
I looked in vain for the Spotless Crakes but 1 Buff-banded Rail was easily seen
from the Bittern Hide. The spoonbill was still there. Lots of other usual
birds were present.
