from temp. 1-handed watcher:
friend at Chifley reports a s. bowerbird in tree mimicking her b collie's bark for c. 1 hr recently.

no more aspersions on Garran, please, Alastair; whole flocks silvereyes and y.f. h'eaters flickering thru here (Stephens Pl) coupla weeks ago; +
last week i observed resident cr. pigeon female having a rest, lying low in grass out back garden: then the male commenced busy running around her in circles for some minutes; paused, about turn, did same encircling in other direction; then mounted her and mated; then hopped off and did some tender grooming behind her neck; before both trotted orf together. Interesting courtship dance?
