There has been plenty of talk re bower birds of different ages/sexes/plumages. Here is a changeling from our garden.

We have an active bower in the garden. There are at least two adult male plumage birds plus this changeling and some non adult plumage males and females around for most of the year.

We can watch bower activity from two bedroom windows, as well as hearing them much of the time.
