I watched a young male Satin Bowerbird displaying in its small display area (not quite a bower) today at the northern end of the Botanic Gardens. It was a green bird with beautiful violet eyes making all the usual sounds and fiddling with the blue objects it had collected. Other birds nearby were Varied Sittella and Grey Currawong.
