Wednesday 17 August, 7.30 to 8.30pm
Llewellyn Hall, Childers St, ANU

As part of Science week, a free public forum (ANU - Canberra Times) with some of the nation's leading scientists to discuss/debate serious environmental questions facing the ACT.

How much bush should we keep in our rapidly expanding city?
Should we be re-planting pine forests in our catchment?
Is it time for a car exclusion zone in Civic?
Should a cap be put on Canberra's population/urban expansion?

Speakers include Prof David Lindenmayer (Ecologist), Prof Paul Perkins (Sustainable resources expert), Dr Janette Lindesay (Climatologist), Dr Chris Brack (Forestry expert)

This should be a stimulating forum discussing environmental science away from the planning committees and political arena.

cheers
Jenny
