Without claiming any particular insight into these, I wonder if there is
not
an upsurge here. In the last couple of weeks I have heard/seen
contact-calling pairs at Aranda Bushland, Mugga Lane, Wanniassa Ridge,
and
this afternoon a probable 2 pairs while I was dog-walking at Majura
Pines.

Harvey mentioned that Pied Currawongs are aggressive towards them, which

they might well be when the PCs dominate by numbers.  I am inclined to
think
that the Greys are now clearing out the itinerant Pieds to establish
nesting
territories.
