Dear All,
Spotted pardelotes are nesting in the side of a gully above my house in Hackett, seems a little early? As to Geoffrey Dabbs thoughts on Grey versus Pied Currawongs, seven years ago,a Grey Currawong nested close to the bottom Yabby Pond below the Mt Majura reservoir,on my runs it became apparent that the birds were being harrassed by Pied Currawongs who after some days, eventually drove them off the nest, seeing the two species together, the relative size of the beaks was quite impressive, the Grey would seem a formidable adversary. The Pieds, harrass the two Tawny Frogmouths in my Garden,so much so that they have twice,to my certain knowledge driven them away. Regards,Terry Gourlay.
