The flock of Dusky Woodswallows I reported at my place in Ngunnawal over a week ago are still there. My brother noticed them hawking over the tennis court over the weekend, and today I counted 14 birds huddled together in a bare deciduous tree soaking up the sun's rays by the carport. Maybe they can sense bird-friendly people live here, as they sit and fly around outside either the back or along the front fence of my block adjoining the golf course. Either way it looks like they may be overwintering at my place...a welcome avian delight.
