I revisited an area just outside COG's Area of Interest yesterday - this being between Bungonia and Braidwood and covering Mayfield, Boro, Cullula, Sandy Point and Oallen Ford, in the Shoalhaven valley.
I had been here last about a year ago.

Highlights were Spotted Quail-thrush and New Holland Honeyeater at Nadgigomar Nature Reserve, 4 White-fronted Chats, Flame Robins and 2 Diamond Firetails in flooded grassland along Sandy Point Rd, many New Holland Honeyeaters at Oallen Ford, 2 Australian Shelduck in flooded grassland along Lower Boro-Lake Bathurst Rd, and a Little Eagle, Yellow Thornbills and Red-browed Finches at Lake Bathurst village.

With all the recent rains, large areas of open land here were inundated with water proving to be magnets for the birdlife.

Cheers
