As I looked out the window this morning, I saw a currawong with something
in is beak--no, not a baby bird. It was light coloured and a couple of
inches long. The bird dropped the morsel on the ground, dug a hole with
its beak, deposited the treasure and flew away. I went out to see what had
been buried. And it was buried, a piece of dried up Lebanese bread!

I could not wait around to see whether the bird returned. Maybe it has
buried this to wait for the rains when it wil soften up. (Will it ever
rain?) I shall keep an eye on it.
