Hie everyone
One or two Sulphur Crested Cockatoos have been systematically destroying the
big heavily lerp-infested Blakely's Red Gum over our driveway throughout the
past fortnight. They prune off sizable leafy twigs and remove the lerps
before decorating the surrounds with their leftovers. There are also a lot
of dead leaves on the tree. Between the psyllids and the cockies there
won't be much tree left soon.
Strangely enough, there were some very weird Yellow-tailed Black noises
coming from the tree this morning, which investigation revealed were coming
from a couple of large Yellow-Tails as they successfully saw the
Sulphur-cresteds off the premises. I heard them crunch a few branches, but
never actually saw them lerping. They left soon after.
