A flock of 28 of them flew over my Tennant Street Fyshwick GBS site today.
 
Text from the GBS Report as below is of relevance (as usual), this appears to be the right time of year for flocks of them here:
 
Straw-necked Ibis Threskiornis spinicollis
 
Abundance of this species builds up from March to peak numbers in April and May and very low numbers from July to February. Numbers of this species have also increased dramatically, peaking in Year 14, then declining again. The species is mostly observed in large groups, group size is 19.62.
