The lone superb parrot is still on ANU campus - it walk around the pond at
the western end of the Hancock building trying to have a drink before
flying off to the east of campus calling.

Yesterday we went to Warragandra on Jerrabatgulla Creek. The yellow faced
honey eater migration was in full swing. We saw hundreds, thousands of
birds, flying in from 2 directions, one slightly south of west, and the
other slightly north of west (either side of Brown Mountain). We were
there around midday.
The stream of birds was not continuous. Sometimes there would be a break
of perhaps 10 minutes. Sometimes the birds would fly in the wromg
direction. They would then settle briefly on any tree that was handy and
head off again, right way this time. They finally headed east along Hart's
Road, their usual route
The wind was from the north, slightly to the west, and strong by this time.
The temperature was 28 degrees.
We did not see any red wattle birds, pardalotes or silvereyes amongst them
and very few white naped
honey eaters
