Barbara,
It is my suggestion that your comments about the Pardalotes could be expanded into an article for CBN if you get a bit more observations on them.
Also the bit on "the only bird I have known to catch a fish is one of our resident magpie larks that caught a baby fish about 2.5 cm long" is certainly worth publishing. I wonder if this has been recorded before. If not or infrequently, if you hurry and if it is not already too late, you might even get it mentioned in HANZAB Vol 7 (unless it has been documented better elsewhere -  I'd say it is worth a try). It may even be worth asking them do they have any other similar cases.
