More random notes, a big mixed flock of Magpie-larks (about 25), Sparrows (about 40), Starlings (about 70) & Mynas (about 15) from my work window. So what? One Collared Sparrowhawk flew by about mid day to try its luck. As I left at 5.30 p.m. a young (striped breast) probably female (by size) Peregrine Falcon zoomed past in a direct attack on the mixed flock, without success, then sat on a fence post then conveniently flew back, close enough and over so I could easily pick it and disappeared as I was fumbling for my binoculars in the back of the car.
