Hi Benj, Thanks for that and I agreed then (and still do) with your original conclusion that the Zebra Finches are more likely than not, to be wild birds. The COG Atlas comment and graph on Diamond Firetail breeding, I'd say is based on a very small sample size, yet is not supportive of that the birds would be starting breeding now, though DY are very likely, (though it isn't outside realms of possibility).
