I went walking at Stirling Park at lunch time. Found a MFF with a female speckled warbler, 1 brown, 1 striated (strange) and buff rumped thornbills, numerous other small birds. Also red wattlebirds, friar bird. Later on saw redbrowed finches with fairy wrens.

Also stumbled upon quite a few (>50) endangered Button Wrinkleworts (daisy). Rushed back to work and looked up the Lowland Grassland Strategy and apparently new populations had been found at Stirling park in only 2000 and 2003. Other plants in flower included clustered and common everlasting daisies, paper daisies and Cassinia. Also good signs were lots of rock ferns, lomandra, Dianella revoluta, and native grasses. I also found a small yellow daisy that I dont recognise. Similar to lemon beauty head plants but different shaped/colour flowers. I was quite impressed. Lots of St Johns Wort though.
