Thanks especially to Alistair as the trip's leader,
we had a wonderful joint meander through Brooks Hill Reserve from 8:00am.
IT's a multi-habitat reserve, dried out by the drought's effects & the
season in many places but the tally of bird species was very rewarding &
interesting. Invertebrates, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish &
numerous plant species enhanced the Field Naturalists' enjoyment.
Seeing a co-operative and almost infazed Tiger
snake was probably the highlight just nudging out cuckoos, Leaden flycatchers,
YTBCs, G butcherbird, Mistletoebird & the Friarbirds'
cacophony.
Thank you COG for sharing the morning with
FNAC.
