G mail anyone?

I don't want to sound like a Google groupie, but I've been very
impressed switching over recently to G-mail.

G-mail is Google's version of Hotmail, but is vastly superior to it:

1. It's much faster
2. It has no annoying flashing ads
3. It's not linked to an annoying right-wing alleged 'News' site
4. It seems to much cleverer at eliminating spam

However, its biggest advantage if you use it to participate in
newsgroups like Canberrabirds is that it seems to arrange the threads
as single e-mails. Goodness knows how it does it, but instead of, say,
five e-mails, a message and four replies, you get one e-mail including
the whole thread. Very neat idea.

I had to wait for several weeks after expressing interest to get an
invite to sign up, and I think that even now you can't just sign up.
But as a new Gmail person I can send invites to people who want a
Gmail account. So if you like the sound of the above please send your
existing e-mail to me (and not to the whole group) and I'll send an
invite off.

And no, I don't have any shares in Google.

Cheers

John L
