We have been visiting Bawley Point, off and on, for about 20 years. Each
time that we go we walk out to the point, over the rocky ground which has
only low grass growing, with an occasional small tree. Each time that we
go we see Richard's pipits, one or two. Last weekend we saw tham again.

This is an inhospitable spot forany ground birds, near to houses and
raptors about. (A kestral dived and took a large brightly coloured cricket
close to where I was standing; and we have often see a little eagle there).
What would be the minimum size of a flock, to survive?
