On Tuesday evening (7pm) Julie M and I got reasonable views of a little
lorikeet near the reservoir at Hackett, it spent a lot of time crawling in the
outer branches and hanging upside down, so cute. I also saw another bird fly
off. So saw 2. But only 1 extra tick for ACT, heh heh.
I dropped by Lyons and Ivan showed me the tawny frogmouth, up so close it was
interesting to see the striations/flecks in the plumage, very pretty. We also
checked out a large magpie lark nest. Unfortunately didn't see a barshouldered
dove.
